Meet the founder

 Shamik became a Certified Peer Support Specialist in the state of Wisconsin in 2013. A Peer Specialist is an individual with lived experience in mental health or substance use. Over the past 8 years Shamik has worked for the Behavioral Health Division, Ourspace Inc and Justice Point where she was able to support a diverse group of clients in their recovery.  Shamik has been able to use her unique story to support others in their recovery journey. Shamik has overcome her battle with Anxiety and depression through her faith which she exemplifies in her practice. Shamik's training combined with her lived experience make her well qualified to support others battling with mental health and/or substance use. Shamik has been successful in helping many of her clients manage symptoms, identify strengths, set and meet goals and develop a optimistic outlook on life.
